Replay window
Kick: 7 days, 30 verified, plus a replay-count cap. Twitch: 7 days, 60 for Partners and Turbo. Kick needs the connected tool more.
A Kick stream clipper turns a Kick broadcast or its replay into vertical shorts: it finds the moments (chat bursts, reactions, plays), reframes them for game plus cam, captions them and, on some tools, posts them. Kick has quirks that change the workflow: replays vanish after 7 days (30 if verified), native clips cap at 60 seconds, and the 95/5 revenue split means Kick streamers fund more clipping campaigns than most. This guide covers Kick's native clips, the tools that connect to it, setup, rules and how clippers get paid on Kick content.
The pipeline is the same as any stream clipper: detect, cut, reframe, caption, post. Kick changes the constraints around it.
Connected tools first (they beat the 7-day window), then clippers that accept a Kick replay link. Entry paid tiers shown.

Can't connect a tool? Download the replay from Creator Dashboard → Videos while it still exists and upload the file; every clipper accepts uploads.
In Kick's Creator Dashboard enable replay saving; without it nothing downstream works. Then connect the channel in StreamClipping or Eklipse, or add a post-stream habit: copy the replay URL into Klap, Katto or OpusClip the same day.
Clip within a day of streaming. If you stream daily and aren't verified, the 16-replay cap bites before the 7 days do. Download any replay you might want later; the file is yours, the replay isn't.
Kick's Clips tab is a free vote on what landed. Cross-check the AI's picks against it; moments clipped by several viewers go first. Prompt-first tools (Katto) can take a brief like "clutches and rage moments, skip menus".
Game on top, cam below (Klap Reframe 2, Katto split-screen, StreamClipping Director Tracking). Captions for the callout, a hook title, and mute any licensed music; Kick is lax about DMCA, TikTok and YouTube aren't.
Two to three clips a day, uploaded as files, Kick handle in the caption and link in bio. StreamClipping AutoPilot or the Klap/Katto/OpusClip schedulers handle timing; keep a veto step for the first month.

Both cap at 60 seconds. Kick lets anyone clip from replays while they exist; Twitch Clips persist after the VOD is gone.
Kick streamers keep 95% of subs and often run clipping boards; rates on streamer campaigns sit around $0.80–$1.50 per 1K views on either platform.
Kick allows categories (gambling streams, looser moderation) that TikTok, Shorts and Reels suppress or remove. Clip the gameplay and reactions, not the slots.
Sixteen stored replays for non-verified channels. Stream twice a day and replays from four days ago are already gone.
Fan clips are tolerated; paid distribution needs the streamer's campaign or written OK. See rights and rules.
Casino segments and some sponsor reads violate short-form platform rules even when Kick allows them. Clippers on campaigns get those clips rejected.
Kick rarely mutes; YouTube and TikTok will. Keep music on a separate OBS track so the clipper exports game and voice only.
IRL streams put bystanders in your clips. Blur or skip; campaign briefs usually say so.
Paid clips are ads. #ad or the platform's paid-partnership label on every post from a campaign.
Kick streamers are over-represented on clipping boards: the 95/5 split, gambling and sponsor money, and Kick's push for off-platform reach all feed budgets. A streamer funds a pool, clippers post to their own TikTok/Shorts/Reels accounts, and payouts land per 1,000 confirmed views after the hold period.
StreamClipping AI if you want a connected clipper plus the campaign marketplace; Eklipse for flat-fee unlimited highlight scans; Klap for the best automatic game + cam layout from a replay link; Katto if you want cheap and scriptable. OpusClip if you also clip non-gaming content.
7 days for most channels and 30 for verified ones, with a stored-replay cap of 16 (30 verified). Replays also require saving to be enabled in the Creator Dashboard. Download anything you'll want later.
Yes. The Clip button is available to everyone, live (last 30–60 s) or from a replay (up to 60 s) while the replay exists. Clips show in the channel's Clips tab.
Fan clips are generally tolerated; paid distribution needs the streamer's campaign or permission. Join their board or ask. Clipping without consent and monetising it invites takedowns on TikTok and YouTube.
Gameplay and reactions do fine. Gambling segments, certain sponsor reads and unmoderated moments Kick allows are removed or limited on short-form platforms; campaign briefs usually exclude them.
