Multimodal moment search over visual, audio, sentiment and speech cues. Prompt it ("every goal", "when they laugh") for sports, gaming and vlogs with little dialogue. Prompts find moments; they don't set ratio or length.
OpusClip is the most complete autopilot in AI clipping. Paste a link from any of twenty-odd sources, ClipAnything finds moments from visuals and sound as well as speech, each clip gets a 0–99 Virality Score, the editor fixes captions and cuts in the transcript, and the Pro scheduler posts to six platforms. There's an API, a hosted MCP server with 26 tools, and Auto Import that clips new uploads from your channel. Here's what it does, what it costs in credits, and where it falls short.
Plan gates in brackets. Most of the interesting features live in Pro.

0–99 ranking per clip. A sorting aid, not a forecast.
9:16 on Starter; 1:1 and 16:9 plus moving-subject tracking on Pro.
Animated captions in 20+ languages from 25+ source languages (many beta). No right-to-left sources; translation is to English only.
Cut by editing text; filler and silence removal on Starter. Pro adds bad-take cleanup, speech enhancement, transitions and censorship.
Pexels stock, AI images, your uploads, and AI video B-roll on Pro. Quotas differ between the pricing and help pages.
Starter posts immediately to YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Pro schedules to TikTok, Reels, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn and X (beta). Six connections total.
Watches a connected YouTube channel and clips new uploads as they land. The closest thing to channel-level autopilot in this category.
1 template on Free/Starter, 2 on Pro; custom fonts, brand vocabulary, caption styling.
Raw media, XML and SRT for Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Not lossless; captions may arrive as overlays.
Generates video from an idea, script, article or audio (≤1,700 words). Billed by output seconds. Checkpoints auto-confirm after five idle minutes.
Clipping, basic captions, templates and publishing. No bulk export, XML, B-roll or timed scheduling.
Plan-dependent; private links may fail. Upload limits are quoted as 10 GB / 10 h in one place and 30 GB in another; check the live dialog.
Immediate posting to the first three on Starter; scheduling and the rest on Pro. Six account connections total. Scheduler takes local MP4s under 200 MB; TikTok needs >23 fps.
Agent Opus accepts MP3/M4A/WAV/AAC/FLAC/OGG audio and MP4/MOV/WEBM/MKV/AVI video (audio track only).
Credits are charged per whole source minute, so if you only want the second half of a two-hour stream, select that range before processing. Add a ClipAnything prompt if the moments you want aren't dialogue-driven.
A 60-minute source yields roughly 23–32 candidates. Sort by score, watch the top ten, discard mid-sentence starts. Treat the score as ordering, not prediction.
Delete words to cut, fix caption spelling, run filler and silence removal. On Pro, add bad-take cleanup, speech enhancement, transitions and censorship. Free users can't edit at all.
Choose a brand template for caption style and logo, drop stock or AI B-roll where the transcript suggests it, and pick the ratio (9:16 on Starter; 1:1 and 16:9 with subject tracking on Pro).
Schedule across the six platforms, export MP4s, or send XML + SRT to Premiere or Resolve for a final polish. Scheduled posts are frozen copies: edit a clip and you must reschedule it.
USD, checked August 2026. One credit is one whole source minute of clipping; monthly paid credits last 60 days, annual credits 12 months.
| Action | Credits | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Clip a source | 1 / whole minute | 90-min podcast = 90 credits; a 40-second clip = 1 |
| Post to X | 1 / post | Ten X posts = 10 credits |
| Agent Opus, script → video | 10 / 10 s output | 60-second explainer = 60 credits |
| Agent Opus, AI UGC | 30 / 10 s output | 30-second ad = 90 credits |
| Agent Opus, motion graphic | 5 / second | 20-second title sequence = 100 credits |
| API project | 10 minimum | Even a 3-minute source costs 10 via API |
| API thumbnail job | 7 | Per thumbnail |
Pro's self-serve maximum is 2 packs (600 credits, 4 seats). Annual Pro can't downgrade directly to Starter. Deleting a project doesn't refund credits, and credits are charged by source length whether or not usable clips result; narrow the range first.
Available on Pro (beta), Max and Business. The REST API covers projects, clips, templates, sharing, social posting, webhooks, transcripts, collections, exports, censorship and thumbnails. The hosted MCP server at mcp.opus.pro/mcp signs in with OAuth and exposes 26 workflow tools; write actions commit after host approval, and publishing or scheduling from Claude still needs a confirmation link inside OpusClip.

A two-hour VOD costs 120 credits even if you keep two clips. Narrow the range, or use a per-project tool like ClipForge for long sources.
Translation goes to English, not from it, and right-to-left source languages aren't supported. Multilingual output is Vizard's strength.
Watermarked, no editor, no Virality Score, three-day retention and non-commercial only. Judge the tool on Starter.
Scheduling, 1:1/16:9, tracking, AI B-roll, NLE export and API all sit in the $29 tier, bundled with seats and storage you may not need.
Checkpoints confirm themselves after five idle minutes. Risky for claims, licensed assets or regulated content; stay at the keyboard.
No bulk caption editing, burned-in source captions can't be removed, XML handoff isn't lossless, scheduled posts are frozen copies, deleted projects are gone, and official pages contradict each other on upload limits and B-roll quotas.
Clip yields are OpusClip's own estimates by source length, not guarantees.
Each episode yields roughly 23–32 candidates; keep the top 5. Post immediately to YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. No scheduler, so post on release day. Twenty shorts a month for $15.
Narrow each VOD to its best 40 minutes before processing, prompt ClipAnything for "clutch moments", schedule 10 clips a week across TikTok, Shorts and X. Room left for a bonus stream.
Auto Import pulls each recording from the YouTube channel, a marketer shortlists by score, LinkedIn and Facebook Pages are scheduled from the same seat pair. Brand template keeps captions consistent.
Batch a creator's back catalogue early in the year, then meter the rest. Pair the Virality Score with real view data in the earnings calculator to learn which score threshold actually earns.
Agent Opus turns a script into a captioned video at 10 credits per 10 seconds. Story Mode (≤450 words) for fully generated visuals. Check every checkpoint before it auto-confirms.
Claude Code calls the MCP to create projects and fetch scored clips; a webhook fires on completion. 10-credit minimum per project, so batch short sources together.
There's a free plan with 60 credits a month, but it watermarks, disables the editor and Virality Score, keeps projects three days and is non-commercial. Starter at $15 is the real entry point.
One whole minute of source video for clipping (under a minute rounds up to one). Posting to X costs a credit per post; Agent Opus bills by output seconds; API projects have a 10-credit minimum.
YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram immediately on Starter; scheduled posting to those plus Facebook Pages, LinkedIn and X (beta) on Pro. Six account connections in total.
Yes, Auto Import monitors a connected YouTube channel and clips new videos as they're published. For other platforms, use the API or MCP with a scheduled task.
OpusClip has the broadest feature set and the strongest autopilot. Klap reframes multi-speaker and gaming layouts better, Vizard wins on languages and predictable credits, Katto is cheaper with agent access on every plan. See the ranking.
